Kate McRae is the finance officer at WESTAF and is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions as well as various administrative areas. McRae is a certified public accountant (CPA) and holds a master’s degree in professional accountancy from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas. She has extensive experience in non-for-profit accounting and finance, primarily in the healthcare industry. McRae also has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Denver, where she majored in hotel and restaurant management. She is the former treasurer of the Colorado chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and currently serves on the Audit Committee of Total Community Options, the parent company of Long Term Care Options, a Colorado not-profit organization agency specializing in the personal coordination of long-term care services in community settings. McRae’s artistic pursuits include amateur photography and singing in her church choir.
